    Post Which is the protocol used in the transport layer in case of web services like e-comm

    Is typical SSL(Secure Socket Layer) protocol still in use? Has any new technique to curb the overhead problem in SSL been implemented in recent years? What is the current scenario? If any technique has been implemented in present days, pls explain.
