I became aware of this new project while attending SpringOne2GX 2001 in Chicago. The related project page at SpringSource is: http://www.springsource.org/spring-payment.

This is an excerpt from the project page: "The Spring Payment Services incubator project seeks to make it easy to integrate a wide range of payment services into Spring-powered applications. This includes merchant payments, person-to-person payments, mobile payments, and related payment scenarios.

Domain expertise for the project is being provided by Visa. The ultimate goal for the Spring Payment Services project is designed to provide access to a broad range of payment services and payment service providers. This will be accomplished in partnership with Visa who are developing a REST-based payment services API on top of which we can build."


As usual, SpringHub.com will follow this new 'Spring Payment Services' project and share with the Spring community all related web resources.
