Angry Can't search for TLAs on this forum

    Hello,

I'm really annoyed by what I see as a stupid limitation (or enforced configuration setting) of this forum software

One cannot search for three letter acronyms. I want to see all threads that have some relevance to GWT. This is what I get:

    Code:
Sorry - no matches. Please try some different terms.

The following words are either very common, too long, or too short and were not included in your search : gwt
It is crazy IMO to strip TLAs out of a search. A vast majority of computer technologies are represented by TLAs. I used this forum for about 6 months before and was hit by this limitation many times per day. I need to pick up with my Spring stuff again and am getting really frustrated by this limitation.

Software is supposed to empower us, not be a constant pain in the proverbial.

Can this be changed really soon please? Pretty please?

    Thanks,

    Pete

Sadly, I don't think so - at least not in the Meta forum

I've discovered I'm having more luck using Google search on this forum than the built in search.

    Such as:
    site:forum.springsource.org cxf log4j
    in the Google search box.
Just because no one's complaining doesn't mean your site is accessible.
Access for everyone. It's the right thing to do. http://webaim.org/intro/
