    Default GNU gettext and Freemarker

    Is anyone using GNU gettext with SpringMVC and in Freemarker templates? I don't imagine it's too hard, I'm just not sure where to hook in the gettext (or gettext-commons) code in Spring configuration. Also, I'm not sure how this would be used from an .ftl page (although it's probably just a simple macro or whatever). Gettext sounds like an excellent way to bring transparency to i18n and make life easy for translators.

    (By the way, I noticed Grails has an i18n-gettext plugin. Nice!)
