Default The new book in Germany

I still don't have a copy of Rod's new book ordered via Amazon in March (Germany) !
Maybe it's a good idea to switch the publisher for your new book projects, this could even increase your sales (you can't buy a book that's not in stock).

    Lars,

I'll bring this to the attention of the publisher.

    Hi Lars,

maybe you should switch the retailer. I was supprised when I compared the prices for 'Hibernate in Action'. Amazon.de sells it for 67€ and libris.de sells it for 40€ only. I think I will buy most of my english books at libris.de now, since amazon is using the UK pricelist rather than the US pricelist.

    Thanks,

    Martin (Kersten)

    Default Price is lower

I ordered this book in March and the price was/is 35,09 EUR. The price today (Amazon Germany) is 36,90 EUR -> Libris is 59.- EUR ! The estimated shipping time is the same for both shops.

Sure, I ordered my 'without EJB' copy also using Amazon. But 'Hibernate in Action' is a true blow to me. 40€ instead of 67€. So maybe the advice is simply: Just compare before you buy.

    Hi,

I pre-ordered it and picked it up from the store once it had arrived. They seem to have quite a few stores around Germany. Maybe there's one near you? Anyway, they let you make an order without any obligation to buy, and will inform you via email once your book reaches the store.

Good luck! And ps - it really is a darned good read. So it'll be worth the wait

Default A big day in history !

Yesterday I received my copy of the book (received 4 days after ordering) from Lehmann's (www.lob.de).

The price was 38,61 EUR, no shipping costs.

Again, thanks for the hint !

    Regards,
    Lars
