The new book in Germany

I got my copy from www.bookzilla.de at July 23. At that time I payed 33,99 €, but now it's advertised for 59,00 €. It seems the book is selling quite well :-)

I bought the book at bookpool.com in july for 19.99$, it's now 24.50$. Shipping to germany was about 12$. So the book costs me 32$ (~26 Euro), shipping time was 10 days.

For price comparison I found it very useful to compare book prices with

or http://www.bookbutler.de

I've had very good experiences with Lehmanns, http://www.lob.de , although they don't advertise it, they offer a 10% discount to members of GI (german computer society and ACM), just ask.

Also, I found that prices among different branches of Amazon can vary widely. If you have the time, it may well be worth it to order from amazon.com even though you're living in Europe -- but keep in mind that, at least in Germany, you'll likely have to pay 7% customs on books.
