Problem with maven dependencies in 10 minute example

I've downloaded spring-roo-1.1.0.M3 and am trying to go through 10 minute example in the introduction documentation.
This example fails for me when I try to do the perform tests command.
Some maven dependencies cannot be downloaded. I'm not a maven wiz so I don't really know what to do with this.

Is there any help to get?

I think it's because you're behind a proxy and the jboss repository (JBoss Repo (https://repository.jboss.org/nexus/c...ories/releases), which is only accessible via https) is not reachable.
Try to set the proxy settings in MAVEN_HOME/conf/settings.xml.
