Any idea about a timeframe for Hibernate3 integration

Gavin has indicated that Hibernate3 is just about ready for a beta release, so I am curious what the Spring timeframe, and approach, will be for integrating the Hibernate 3.0 features.

I think once the beta is out we should be able to do something pretty quick. Realistically the only viable approach given the fact that people will be using Hibernate 2 for a while, and given the differences between the two versions, is I think for us to make a parallel hierarchy to the existing Hibernate support classes. The work should be pretty straightforward.
