Hello Jeff,
The main issue with the micro instances is the fact that they don't have local storage and must be booted from an EBS. CloudFoundry doesn't currently support such instances. We're investigating this, but don't have a timeframe yet.
Thank you,

Dmitriy,
when you have news, please I would like to know about.
+1 for letting us know....![]()
As Amazon is giving 12 month of a non stop running Micro Instance away for free to new users, support for this could potentially attract many future users of both CF and AWS.
Any progress in this area would be highly appreciated!
Any word on this yet? Would love to take advantage of this opportunity.
you can use Amazon AWS Elastic Beanstalk, it support micro-instances
Optimal Application of Micro Instances

AMI Optimization for Micro Instances
Micro instances (t1.micro) provide a small amount of consistent CPU resources and allow you to burst CPU capacity when additional cycles are available. They are well suited for lower throughput applications and web sites that consume significant compute cycles periodically.
This section describes how micro instances generally work so you can understand how to apply them. Our intent is not to specify exact behavior, but to give you visibility into the instance's behavior so you can understand its performance (to a greater degree than you typically get with, for example, a multi-tenant shared web hosting system).
