Hi,

I am getting error 10061 (Can't connect to the server) when I select
Help > Help Contents
in STS 2.3.2. I am using Ubuntu 10.04.

The full error message is:

Error occurred when connecting to the server!
Description: Can't connect to the server.
Server: 127.0.0.1:60564
Additional info: Error code: 10061

I have even tried disabling the firewall. The result is the same. Please help.

Hi Shack,

this works for me on Ubuntu 10.04. Can you check in the error log (Window > Show View > Other > Error Log) if there are any entries related to the help system? It sounds like STS was not able to start the built-in web server that provides the help pages and hence fails with the described error.

Unfortunately No. There are no entries in the error log as you described. I am still stuck. Do I need to reinstall STS?
