Does anyone know why in Spring 3 the class org.springframework.jdbc.support.nativejdbc.XAPool NativeJdbcExtractor was removed, and what are possible substitutes/workarounds?

There is note in the upgrade doc (link here) indicating this class was removed, and a reference number 8001. Does anyone know what this number means?
