Default When to use and not to use SWF in a web app?

I just wondering, why SWF documentation has no definition for When to use and When not to use...

It's best practice to define a flow for the entire web application?

Could you please give us suggestions or scenarios...

    Thanks

    Default

should I use SWF from the start and every part of a web app?

just notice the booking-mvc sample... it just use the swf only during entering booking details and end up to booking confirmation or booking cancellation...
but... the others like login, navigations, search, displays are not defined as webflow..
