Grails Wizard Is Not Seen

Hello.

I installed grails-1.2.1 and grails help works at the command line.
I installed springsource-tool-suite-2.3.0.RELEASE-e3.5.1-win32-installer.exe

In order to integrate Groovy and Grails: I followed the directions at: http://www.grails.org/STS+Integration

I do not see the Grails project wizard.

I see I have the following installed:

Hey finneycanhelp,

after you went through the installation you should be able to access the Grails Project wizard from File -> New... -> Project... -> Groovy -> Grails Project.

If you can't find the wizard there, please post your Configuration Details from Help -> About SpringSource Tool Suite -> Installation -> Configuration Details.

Could you please send me the complete profile to cdupuis AT vmware DOT com. I want to confirm some things that aren't in your extract.

Also what OS are you on? Do you see a Groovy-Eclipse logo on the About Dialog?

I checked the configuration details that you sent me (thanks for that). For whatever reason the installation is only partially complete. Not sure why that is.

Could you please re-install Groovy-Eclipse from the following update site: http://dist.springsource.org/release/GRECLIPSE/e3.5/

After that please check the About dialog again.

As suggested by Christian Dupuis, I reinstalled into c:\springsource and that worked.





After installing groovy and grails (support and production release of grails), I can now create Grails Projects and Groovy Projects.

There seems to be an issue when installing Groovy-Eclipse into a directory that is protected by Windows Vista's UAC.

Installing into a folder outside of C:\Program Files solved it.
