    Default Grails is not seen by editor

    see screen shot
    using windows paint

    Every Edit requires a trip to grails tools to "Refresh dependencies"

    otherwise the editor understands nothing!

    Do you see any exceptions in your error log?

    I'd recommend that you update to the latest nightly builds of grails tooling and Groovy-Eclipse:
    http://dist.springsource.com/snapshot/STS/nightly/e35
    http://dist.codehaus.org/groovy/dist...snapshot/e3.5/

    If none of this sheds any light on the issue, can you try to create a new Grails project and see if the behavior persists with a very simple Domain class and a very simple controller class?

    I removed the sts ide from my machine; windows 7 , 32 bit

    it was unusable with Grails

    I downloaded the latest sts ide from springsource site this past monday!

    I'll try the next version, this version from springsource was
    a step backward from the last version, which was marginal.
