Spring Batch 2.1.0.RC1 is now available. See the Spring Batch downloads page for more information (http://static.springframework.org/sp...downloads.html) - there is the usual .zip download and also Maven artifacts in S3 (in SpringSource and Maven Central flavours).

There are some new infrastructure features (e.g. email and stored procedures) and some new convenience features in the XML namespace, making it easier to define POJO components and inline definitions inside the Batch elements.

Thank you to all the people who have been tracking the milestones and providing feedback. This release is the a Release Candidate, so please try it and find out if it works for your use case. The release notes are on the website (http://static.springframework.org/sp...2.1.0.RC1.html) and in JIRA.
