Can't start STS

I'm new to Spring Tool Suite.
I just downloaded it and installed it for the first time (It took a long time to install by the way).
Now I'm trying to start it, it shows me a loading mouse pointer for a few seconds, then nothing.
I tried rebooting, nothing.

I am running Windows 7 x64, no previous install, no Eclipse.
I downloaded springsource-tool-suite-2.3.0.RELEASE-e3.5.1-win32-x86_64-installer.exe

that sounds a bit like you are starting STS on a 32-bit JVM. Can you post the output of 'java -version' of the JDK that you selected during installation.

you are right!
The installation of the 64bit JDK failed so I just installed the 32-bit.
I guess STS didn't like it, so now I installed the 32bit version of STS, and it works!
