When using Spring Remoting's JAX WS, it is not clear to me what HTTP client is being used under the hood. In other parts of the Spring stack it is possible to to choose a client (for instance when using HTTP Invoker).

We wish to use our own HTTP client (and extension of the Apache one) in order to take advantage of some features with respect to SSL performance.

So, my question is: Is it possible to specify what HTTP client to use when using JAX-WS in Spring?
