Spring Update Site: Spring IDE core vs. Spring STS core?

Whats the difference between the Spring IDE core and the Spring STS core on the update site? Are they mutually exclusive? Are you restricted to the tools available for each set by installing either the IDE or the STS core?

Keith,

Spring IDE Core is the core and central component of Spring IDE and STS. Both are not mutual exclusive and should be installed together. In fact STS requires Spring IDE to be installed.
