JSR 168, struts and springs

is it allowable to do a project in a combination of Struts, springs and jsr168?

I've done some development with spring/struts and portlet 1.0.
But i would suggest to have a look at spring portlet mvc and portlet 2.0 (jsr 286) instead of jsr 168. The portlet 2.0 spec is supported in the new spring 3, I currently use the RC1 of spring 3 and I am not having any problems for portlet development.

I would recommand not to use struts as i believe that struts is not growing with new standards. They don't update anymore.
