    Default Error:How to install STS

    Hi,

    I've downloaded Spring TS from http://www.springsource.com/downloads/sts?sid=95550 for Windows.

    Double clicking on the installed .exe throws the following error message:

    Error: java.lang.NullPointerException

    Any help on this?

    The problem is with the file. A new copy of the installation resolved the issue.

    could you please post the complete stracktrace. That will help locating the root cause.

    Thanks for taking time on this =)

    there is no stack trace - I get this error as a popup when I try to launch the .exe installer for STS.
