Default Is Spring extensions Java dead or dying

Seems like there is little activity and no leadership from Springsource on this? I know Russ Miles has left SpringSource who has taken over the leadership of extension?

Have seen none of the useful code from Spring modules yet make it into Spring extensions.

Where is caching or commons configuration integration?

Hi there, I haven't got any ideas, but I was wondering if you ever got a solution
as I would like to do the same thing. Cheers!
