    Default Roadmap

I know it's very early days of Cloud Foundry under the SpringSource umbrella but I'm wondering when a kind of roadmap will be announced.

    I'm interested in things like:
    - when will there be more details about pricing of Cloud Foundry
    - when can we expect a vmware vsphere cloud? how will pricing be? e.g. compared with Amazon counterpart

We are finalizing the acquisition by VMware and will not be able to speak to the roadmap until it's closed next quarter. However, we can say that Cloud Foundry is expected to have a beta period of 6-8 months, which serves to help us gather feedbacks and improve the product. In that timeframe, the service will undoubtedly be enhanced and additional products based on the platform may be available as private or public betas. Pricing and generally availability dates will be announced towards the latter part of the beta period after development and analysis of user feedback. Thanks.

Can we use this thread for feature requests?

I'd really like to be able to set up 'Deployment Templates'

It is really tedious having to recreate the same deployment settings and topology every time I want deploy an application.

Alternatively maybe make restarting a deployment easier - I think you can only restart it at the moment if there are errors?

We can certainly use this thread or have separate threads for each feature request. The concept of Deployment Templates is definitely on our radar and logged in our internal issue tracker. In fact, that's the exact name we've given it.

As for restarting deployments, you can always restart it by going to Deployment Details. It's not the case that you can only restart when you have errors.

When I go to my running deployment the Restart button is disabled?

Under what conditions can you issue a restart to the entire deployment?

    Lee,

The purpose of the Restart button is to resume the launch of a failed deployment
If. the button is enabled if during launch (and not, for example, redeploy) there was an error executing SQL scripts or deploying web applications.

Once a Deployment is stopped you cannot restart it.
We are considering improving a "Launch Another One Like This" button, however.
