Importing external Project in STS 2.1.0

I imported a project from my disk into workspace

File->Import->General->Existing Project Into Workspace.

The project was imported successfully. But now when i try to deploy it over DM running through STS i am not able to
The Add and Remove window is also not showing the project

I too faced the same issue sometime back. I think the project you have imported is not a bundle project. Try this -

right click on project --> Spring Tools --> Add OSGi Bundle Project Nature
