Bundle Repository Browser not working
The "Search for bundles and libraries" pane on the left side of the Bundle Repository Browser does nothing for me when I attempt to download a bundle. It pops up a warning about a background download, and I can see the progress icon in eclipse animate for a moment, then nothing appears -- there is nothing in the Installed bundles (including after a refresh), and nothing in the filesystem that I can find.
Also, the "update local bundle and repository index" link never changes the "Last Update" until I restart eclipse. Given the other problems in downloading, I tend to wonder whether it actually updated the index or just touched the file. Is there any way I can verify whether this actually worked?
This is with a fresh install of STS 2.1.0.SR01 on Win XP.

open Window > Preferences dialog
open General > Network Connections than change "Active Provider" to "Direct"
