To create Jasper reports

Hi friends,
I wish to create Jasper reports using Spring. I am new to spring.

SO the right path for me is to first
1) build a web application using Spring
2) Then modify it to create jasper reports.

So i have to begin with understanding what is Spring etc and proceed.

Please correct me if I am wrong or give me good/alternate suggestions

I advise you read the tutorials I've written for integrating Spring MVC 3 and Jasper. I've also provided a downloadable Maven build. The tutorials are very detailed. In addition, the application itself is well-commented. Just leave a comment if the tutorials help you
