    Unhappy Installation Problem / Licensing

    Hello,
I've got two questions about tcServer:
1 - Licensing ... could not find clear documentation on this. Is it under GPL or do we need a license to run it? I downloaded an "evaluation"; can you define what that means?
    2 - Installation Error:
Trying to install tcServer on a linux 64 bit machine. Agent installed ok, getting the following error when it gets to the server ...

/opt/tcserver/server-2.0.0/bin/db-stop.sh: line 8: /opt/tcserver/server-2.0.0/hqdb/bin/pg_ctl: cannot execute binary file

The file pg_ctrl has the following perms:
    -rwxrwxr-x 1 tcserver tcserver 36121 2007-11-27 09:35 pg_ctl

    Running ./run.sh as user tcserver

    Here is my linux info:
    Linux henry 2.6.27.7-53.fc9.i686 #1 SMP Thu Nov 27 02:29:03 EST 2008 i686 i686 i386 GNU/Linux

    Thanks for your help,
    Corey

    Default Licensing

    Hi Corey,
The evaluation is covered by a Personal Use License Agreement that covers the evaluation. The text for this license can be found in the following directories:
    agent-2.0.0/LICENSES (for the AMS Agent)
    server-2.0.0/LICENSES (for the AMS Server)
tcServer-6.0 (for the app server itself)

The latter is an unlimited use (no expiration) development license. The AMS licenses are 90-day evaluation use licenses.

I'll ask one of the engineers to take a look at your question on the Linux64 installation issue.

    Thanks,
    Randy MacBlane
