General spring info to newbie

Hello everybody,
I've just started learning spring framework.
So was just wondering how to learn and practice it faster.

I've a book for Spring and have downloaded all the "Current Production release" versions of Spring framework, web services, security and etc.

Was just wondering if anybody can help heading in proper directions
