Getting involved
Spring Integration is a fabulous addition to the portfolio. It will enable us enterprise architects to push back against vendor bloatware, and simplify those big, messy enterprise integrations and service deployments.
What's the best way to get involved? Pick an open issue from Jira? There are also lots of juicy patterns from the EIP book that SI doesn't tackle (yet) - would it be better to work on one of those? Mark, where would you like assistance?

I found that with the basics in the framework many of the available patterns can be built already with little effort. I've started a series of recipes at blog.springsource.com. If you truly want to get involved in development you should start submitting patches to jira issues, I'm sure Mark will be very happy with that. You are most welcome to join in!
