In EJB3, a Container Managed EntityManager with 'EXTENDED' scope gets closed when the @Remove -annotated field of the stateful session bean is called.

The (normally excellent) Spring documentation was really unclear about the exact semantics in Spring version of this.

Could somebody clarify me the corresponding semantics in Spring -- how/when a Container Managed EntityManager with Extended scope is closed?
