Do you use Python as well as Java in your coding efforts? I certainly do. And I wanted to have the same set of Spring tools available there as well. That is why I have created Spring Python.
The site is http://springpython.python-hosting.com , which includes documentation on using this framework, along with information on downloading source, or getting releases from sourceforge.
New features include:
* Application Security - modeled after Acegi Security. This module lets you wrap python applications with the same sophisticated security model provide by Acegi.
* Extended DatabaseTemplate support to PostgreSQL and Sqlite.
* Significant enhancements to the PetClinic demo. You can run it in a distributed form, with the web components one a different machine than the backend database controller component. It has also been wrapped with Spring Python's new application security layer.
* A new example app, Spring Wiki, has been added to further demonstrate usage of the framework. See how easy it is to build your own wiki software using Spring Python.
