Default New Project Wizard is nowhere to be found

    Hi,

After installing the SpringIDE I canot see any Spring entries under New Project and consequently, cannot create a new project.

My config: Eclipse 3.1.2 + WST 1.0.1 on Windows XP (uncool as it is :-). I think I did all the installation OK; at least I can set the Spring Project Nature on an existing project and everything else seems to be normal. The Eclipse .log file is clean.

I hoped Wizard could save me some time jump-starting the thing.

Any ideas as to where else to look?

    Thanks,
    Sasha

    Hi Sasha,

the New Project Wizard is part of the upcoming Spring IDE 1.3 release; it was not release with any other earlier release. Which version of Spring IDE did you install?

Go over to http://springide.org/project/milestone/Release%201.3 to get a list of all the new features and fixes.

    Cheers

    Thanks for clarification.

I have 1.2.5 installed as recommended by http://springide.org/project/wiki/SpringideInstall . Wizard was listed as (existing) feature in http://springide.org/project/wiki/SpringideFeatures so it's a bit confusing .

Anyway, I've managed to manually build a project from other sources -- so far so good. Wizard would be of great help to (Spring) newbies like me. I'll give Wizard a shot when it is released.

    Regards,
    Sasha
