Site using Spring
We completed an assessment some time ago now - about 12 months - which drove us to Spring, Hibernate/iBatis, and Struts. We evaluated JSF, Tapestry, Shale, SpringMVC, and a few others. It's always a bit emotional to select a winner, for us Spring MVC was real neat - but de facto pushed us to Struts. We use an interWoven CMS system, Verity (now Autonomy) Search system, and use BEA Server with Oracle 9i/10G.
The sites will be hit about 30M/times a day - with most of the 7M registered users in the Oracle/SiteMinder security store logged in to access faults, orders, sla's, jeopardy management, etc..
We talked to BEA almost 14 months back on this, and have migrated 2 of our portals of BEA portal - onto Open Source components as above - one is live with huge implications on the industry using Spring and above combinations - 2 others going live within 3 months and 9 months respectively.
We have no regrets - worked greatly - should have spent some more time on meetings, conferences, etc - but u live and learn - so Spring is well alive and on our portfolio of software components to use
