Sydney Spring User Group - Meeting #2
We're pleased to announce details of our second Sydney Spring User Group meeting. Two interesting presentations are planned for the meeting, starting with Ben Alex from Interface21 showing us how to leverage Spring 2's excellent new namespaces feature to develop custom configuration directives. This should be a great topic for anyone who is interested in what's coming in Spring 2, have their own in-house frameworks, or otherwise find themselves repeating XML <bean> fragments regularly. Second we have Ramon Buckland from Infocomp exploring services oriented architecture (SOA) and JBI, with particular emphasis on a real-world Spring application they've built using these technologies. Ramon's presentation is especially timely given recent industry discussion about the relevance of J2EE in an SOA world. The meeting promises to be both informative and interesting, with plenty of time before, during and after the meeting for informal networking with other Spring users:
