    David,

up to v1.2.2 Spring IDE does not add a content assist to any editor. A list of Spring IDE's current features can be found here.

The content assist is provided by the editor you are using for editing Spring resource files, e.g. the XML editor XmlBuddy or Eclipse's WebTools.

With the upcoming Spring IDE 1.2.3 we will release a preview version of an XML editor for Spring beans config files (further information can be found here). This editor will provide Spring-aware content assists.

    Cheers,
    Torsten
