eclipse 3.0.2 Spring IDE Problems

I’ve done loaded Eclipse 3.0.2, applied teh updates for GEF, EMF etc and then downloaded the Spring IDE via the eclipse Software Updates. The install appeared to go without problem and when I go to "About Eclipse Platform" its say the Plugin (features and Plugin) are installed.

However when I go to the Documentation in eclipse and click on SPRING IDE Support it says the:

The topic that you have requested is not available. The link may be wrong, or you may not have the corresponding product feature installed. This online help only includes documentation for features that are installed.

I also can see no perspective, views, Projects etc related to Spring IDE.

Am I missing something?

Unfortunatly we forgot to include the documentation into the release. There is already an open ticket for that problem at http://springide.org/project/ticket/30.

Thankyou for the prompt response, but how do I get up and running with the plugin. As stated it's not clear to me how the plugin actually works within eclipse?

Hello Mike,

there is a little documentation available at http://springide.org/project/wiki/Sp...shInstallation which gives you a jump start to Spring IDE.

I also can see no perspective, views, Projects etc related to Spring IDE.

At least you should have the Spring IDE view category under Window > Show View > Other > Spring IDE. If not there is something wrong.
