    Default Connecting to Coudera HiveServer2 fails

    Hello,

    I try to connect to the HiveServer2 of a Cloudera installation via the Spring Data Hadoop Hive template (Version 1.0.0.RELEASE). But the programs stucks using the query method of the template (it's not throwing any connection refuse exception, timeout exception or similar, it just stucks).
    Can't the template connect to a HiveServer2, or what might be the problem?

    PS: Connecting to an older Hive 0.9.0 server (without Cloudera) works.

    I'm seeing the exact same issue. I've tried following the instructions in this tutorial:

    Everything just hangs. No failures or errors.
