If I fork and build from snapshot. All jars need to be from same build?

So I was going to build locally Spring Social Security and thought wait, if I build that module, I need to have all modules from the same build. Where if I tried to stick with M1 for Core and Twitter and Facebook there might be difference that cause it not to work.
