I have a web application and no of remote clusters which can be anywhere so can my web application talk with remote clusters directly using Spring Data - Apache Hadoop..

Have you looked at the reference docs? They explain the usage of SHDP - just specify the remote host/port inside your hadoop configuration and that's it.
