Code completion of ITDs generated by roo not available in STS

Tried several ways, but can not get code completion (available while typing or using ctrl+space) for the code generated in spring roo project in STS. Tried enabling/disabling AspectJ tooling, Maven dependencies etc. Tried Preferences-> JDT Weaving, enable/disable, also tried "re-index now".

I have not done any custom configuration of either STS or AspectJ or Spring Roo itself. Code completion never worked in the STS installation.

what version of Roo, OS, full (64 or 32-bit) JDK, version of eclipse and STS? this definitely works for me on many platforms but maybe your combination is a bad one?

Sorry. Here is version info.

Roo : 1.2.2 (latest)
OS : windows 64 bit
JDK : 1.6
STS : 3.0.0
