sts vs ggts

Hi, I am a newbie to Grails. Could someone tell me whats the difference between STS and GGTS.

To give you a background, I am waiting to explore Groovy on Grails and so GGTS seems to be perfect for me. But I would like to know if STS may have what GGTS offers...and more? If so, what would that be?

Any pointers would be helpful.

I think our introductory blog post talks a bit about that:

So STS has the Spring tooling installed by default, GGTS has the Groovy and Grails tooling installed by default. You can always add the missing pieces into an existing STS or GGTS installation from the Dashboard, if you want.

If you are interested in Groovy and Grails, I would start with GGTS. If you ever want to use tooling for Spring, you can add the Spring IDE components via the Dashboard.
