Default Are two-keystroke shortcuts broken in 3.0.0?

Can someone confirm that the view related shortcuts which are two-stroke (Alt+Shift+Q, <key>) don't work under STS 3.0.0? I'm seeing this problem on two machines so far. Alt+Shift+Q brings up the popup-menu which shows the complete list of secondary keypresses to activate particular views, but pressing the secondary key has no effect other than to close the popup. There is no logged output.

The execution related, two-keystroke shortcuts (Alt+Shift+X, <key>) also fail to work for me.

This issue is present on a clean install of version 3.0.0 under Windows 7 64-bit, Java 1.7_05 (64 bit).

    Hey!

I tried this on a Mac and those two-keystroke-shortcuts seem indeed be broken in the Eclipse platform implementation. Tried this with a pure Eclipse Juno and I can see the same problem. Therefore filed a bug here:

    https://bugs.eclipse.org/bugs/show_bug.cgi?id=387571

Hope this gets fixed in Eclipse soon.

    Hi Martin,

Wow, it looks like this isn't too much of a priority since the actual bug, as mentioned by Dani Megert in issue https://bugs.eclipse.org/bugs/show_bug.cgi?id=369860, is https://bugs.eclipse.org/bugs/show_bug.cgi?id=218881, opened in February 2008. I suppose since it was somehow worked around in Eclipse 3.x, it wasn't considered important to fully address the issue.

    Cheers

    Hey!

Yeah, this is interesting. But the new bug for Juno is targeted towards 4.2.1, so maybe there will be a solution (or another workaround) for this available for Juno SR1.
