Spring 3.2 Milestone 1 and OSGi meta-data?

Spring 3.2 M1 is missing all OSGi meta-data. Seems this commit removed support for adding it during the build:

Will Spring 3.2 be released in this form? If so, I would think the changelog for 3.2 (http://www.springsource.org/node/3563) should list this rather major change so that people can start to make alternate plans.

I searched but could not find any forum references regarding this. Apologies if this has already been discussed.

Could anyone find any more information about how OSGi compatibility will be ensured in future spring releases?
