This program is meant as a way for companies to request and reward developers for creating extended monitoring and management functionality for their deployment. Companies must list the plugin description, reward, and expiration date (if applicable). Before plugin development begins, it is the responsibility of the developer engaging in developing the requested plugin to complete the VMware Contributor Agreement - May 2012.txt, mail it to bounty-manager_at_vmware.com and also post that they are working on the plugin actively and the timeframe to deliver the plugin.
For more information, see the complete BountyProgramRules.txt and the Spring Insight Plugin Development Guidelines.txt.
Want to list a plugin?
Create a new discussion thread in the Bounty Programs forum. Be sure the title includes the name of the technology you wish to manage, the value of the plugin and the date (if applicable) that the plugin offer expires. In the body of the discussion post, outline any specific requirements (e.g., specific metrics you wish to collect or actions to take). At the end of any post include the following text:
To accept this Bounty Request, please reply to this post to indicate to others that this effort is being worked on. Secondly, send a private message to the owner of the request to arrange payment. It is advised to wait for the Requestor to acknowledge intended work on the Bounty Request to ensure only a single Contributor works on a Bounty Request for a single designated Bounty at any given time. VMware provides this forum as a free communication service among community members and is in no way responsible for the offers, collections or support of Bounty Requests developed through this program. Any user abusing privileges set forth in this community may be banned from this community at any time.
