    Default Failure to transfer org.codehaus.mojo:aspectj-maven-plugin:pom:1.2

    Hi,

I have downloaded the latest version of Spring Source tool suite and created a new Spring Roo Project. I am getting below error message in pom.xml file:

    Code:
Failure to transfer org.codehaus.mojo:aspectj-maven-plugin:pom:1.2 from http://maven.springframework.org/release was cached in the local repository, resolution will not be reattempted until the update interval of spring-maven-release has elapsed or updates are forced. Original error: Could not transfer artifact org.codehaus.mojo:aspectj-maven-plugin:pom:1.2 from/to spring-maven-release (http://maven.springframework.org/release): Connect times out
    The versions are:

    sts-2.9.1.RELEASE
    spring-roo-1.2.1.RELEASE
    apache-maven-3.0.3

    Kindly help me on this.

    Default Same problem

    Hi.

I'm also getting the exact same error.

Already saw an issue that resembles to a solution https://issuetracker.springsource.com/browse/STS-2457, however I've tried it without success.

Also read somewhere that the problem was fixed getting the 32 bit version of STS. Maybe is worth a try.

    Best Regards

    JSimas

    Default

I'm also having the same problem. I tried setting the PATH environment variable and creating a new workspace as suggested by the link in jsimas's post but it didn't work. I guess the next step is to install the 32 bit version of STS.
