Is there somewhere I can grab a milestone or release candidate of 3.0.0? I heard that it has a change in the gradle plugin that will be EXACTLY what I am looking for.
Also, what is the expected release date for 3.0.0?

Hey!
You can always grab the latest nightly builds from the update sites (as described in the installation guide), the latest milestone builds from their update sites and the latest release from the release update site (all described in the installation guide).
Unfortunately the Gradle tooling is not part of the STS update sites and as far as I know, there is also no nightly build published somewhere. But we can change that...
STS 3.0.0 is planned for July/August 2012, right after the Eclipse Juno release comes out (end of June). The STS 3.0.0 distributions will ship on top of the Juno release and therefore will be based on the Eclipse 4.2 platform. This is quite a change, but you can always install STS into an existing Eclipse installation using the update sites or the Eclipse Marketplace.

Hi James,
The gradle tooling snapshot update site is here:
http://dist.springsource.com/snapsho...nightly/gradle
If the change you are referring to is https://issuetracker.springsource.com/browse/STS-2276
Then I think that change should be on the nightly site now.
