Trying to install cloud foundry addon - Unsatisfied Requirements

Hello,

when I type the following into Roo:

addon install bundle --bundleSymbolicName org.springframework.roo.addon.cloud.foundry

, I get:

... is this a known problem? Does s/o else also have it?

I'm using Roo 1.2.1.RELEASE [rev 6eae723] on Windows 7 64 bit with 64 bit JDK 7.

I'm grateful for any kind of hint that would allow me to install the cloud foundry addon. Thanks in advance.

EDIT: I was able to reproduce that on a Linux system with kernel 2.6.34.10 and a 32 bit Java by typing the above command. Should I add a JIRA issue?

Hi,

I'd faced this problem exactly. Until a clear solution provided you may install the Cloud Foundry Extension for your IDE.

However when I tried to deploy an application the wizard prompts that "Dynamic Module 3 is not supported"; you can change the version easily from: Right Click Project Name --> Properties --> Project Facets --> Dynamic Web Module --> select 2.5 from the corresponding drop down list.

Thanks for your reply. I also finally succeeded in getting my apps to run on CloudFoundry (not with Roo though). I was (or am) pretty new to the whole CloudFoundry + Roo thing, so I was bummed when it didn't work. But deploying apps on CloudFoundry is not difficult anyway, even if you have to bind services to it.

My solutions were either deploying through STS (like you did), installing the maven CloudFoundry plugin (see http://blog.springsource.org/2011/09...ts-with-maven/, it's really easy and cool) or doing it with CloudFoundry's vmc (see http://start.cloudfoundry.com/tools/deploying-apps.html, isn't too hard either).

But doing it with Roo would have been even nicer...

Just giving this thread a kick to see if there is any solution to running this in Roo before I look any deeper into it.

None that I know of for the current versions. The only solution is to use older versions of Roo and the add-on, which have other issues.
