Question Unable to uninstall plugin software - STS 2.8.1.RELEASE on Windows 7

I'm attempting to upgrade to new versions of Subclipse and SVN plugins and running into issues. I'm running Spring Tool Suite version 2.8.1.RELEASE Build Id: 201111221000 from a Windows 7 machine.

Here are the exact steps I am following:

    1. Window - Preferences - Install/Update
    2. Uninstall or update software that is already installed.
    3. Selected installed software item I wish to uninstall.

Issue: The 'Uninstall' button is grayed out.

I have a team member running the same thing on a Windows XP machine with no issues. I just moved to Windows 7 recently.

Thanks for any input you can provide.

UPDATE: I wound up reinstalling STS. I noticed the following in the install instructions, which explains the issue. I obviously didn't read this when I initially installed the software in the c:\Program Files directory on my Windows 7 machine. Live and learn....

Select the installation path on the Target Path page and click “Next”
(please don’t install into C:\Program Files, especially on Windows 7, or other multi user
directories on Linux or Mac as this will cause issues on updates and extension installs)
