Error in POM.XML

Hi All

Has anyone faced this error in POM.XML. Every time I'm creating a new project I get this.

Failure to transfer com.thoughtworks.xstream:xstream:jar:1.3.1 from http://repo1.maven.org/maven2 was cached in the local repository, resolution will not be reattempted until the update interval of central has elapsed or updates are forced. Original error: Could not transfer artifact com.thoughtworks.xstream:xstream:jar:1.3.1 from/to central (http://repo1.maven.org/maven2): No response received after 60000

Some help would be greatly appreciated.

I'm seeing this error since I've updated to 2.8.1. Has anyone experienced this error ???

Is any part of this question relevant to the Spring framework? Are you using the Spring Tool Suite?

The information in the error message says that forcing an update might fix it. If you're using STS, then you should be able to right-click on the project in the project or package explorer and select "Update Dependencies" in the Maven section.
