roo and pdf
sorry guys,
how would i go about installing iText into spring roo...
i have done up a basic generator all ready in a normal java project but what i want to do is generate the pdf when a user clicks a download link, everything is set up except the pdf generator in roo... i do not know how to install iText into spring roo so i can do this
all i need to know is how do i install iText into spring roo

Hello Adam,
if you're looking for a PDF Report generator JasperReports is your best friend. It generates reports based on a datasource of Java Objects (this is the easy way, but you could use XML, SQL queries, ...).
If you're interested on this option, take a look at gvNIX Addon Web Reports. This addon gives you, with a simple command, all the configurations and components you need to generate a report, you just need to customize the data recovery method and the report template.

thanks for the reply osroca i'll look into that but i was more wanting to stay with iText because thats what i already have designed up a template for
