    Default spring batch and spring core versions

    Hello together,

    sorry, if this is a stupid question. I noticed that the spring-batch-versions are related to old spring core versions (2.5.6). I guess this is because this is the oldest version compatible with spring batch.

    now my question is - when using spring batch, would you _advice_ to use spring core 2.5.6 - or should it be a newer version like 3.0.6?

    so far there seems to be no problem using Spring 3.0.x with Spring Batch 2.1.x, but there is no official support either
